Suicide encouragement isn't always obvious. It can happen through subtle manipulation and can occur over a period of time.

Report any suspicious behaviour. Even if you're uncertain about it, there is no harm in doing a report. If staff are unable to act on your specific report, it could still go towards establishing a pattern if there are other reports about the member.

Personally, I'm sure there are all sorts of people here for all kinds of reasons.
As far as people "wanting me to kill myself", I don't care.
I know there are some predators as well, saying inappropriate things to some, especially females.
This is an open forum. We're going to have a cross section of people here, both good & bad. I expect that. Again, it's an open forum.

Yeah… I've gotten some "interesting" messages from people on here. I have conflicting feelings about the whole thing. Though to be honest, sometimes I find it hard to tell if they're actually encouraging me or simply are trying to connect and don't know how to talk about things, so I'm reluctant to report it. And the people who have been more direct with me ended up getting banned for other things anyway.

Yes, I'm kind of pissed at the idea of someone doing that to other people on here. But to me personally… I don't know. I'm a pretty screwed up person. Yeah, it's a little disturbing, to think that someone's finding some enjoyment in my demise, but since it'll probably happen anyway… I don't know. Kind of feel like I deserve it anyway. Someone like me, without any friends or partner, and pretty likely to die anyway within the next few years… if they do it to anyone it should be me.

It's easy to speculate that there are people that are pro seeing people die considering the nature of the site, it's reputation on the outside and well.. it's the internet so anything is possible, but is very unlikely except maybe a few questionable users here and there, of course unless you have actual evidence in which case you should definitely report. I also highly doubt that there are people sacrificing their lifes to fulfill the wishes of others.

I'm frankly a bit disappointed I've never had anyone directly encourage me to do it on this site yet but I'm sure there have been some members over the years who've longed for my death due to how annoying and repetitive I am and how I can't even seem to keep my promises on CTB'ing. If I had any bad intentions, I would look for websites like this one. There are a lot of desperate, lonely and broken people here, so they are easy targets.

I feel like you may be referring to me because I vented about my pro mortalist perspective before? I should clarify that this isn't me being "pro seeing living beings die". It's instead having the philosophical notion that an earlier death is better than a later death or that an earlier extinction is better than a later extinction (lets be honest, extinction is inevitable because no species can live on forever). This only means that I would hypothetically end all sentient life if I had the power to since life itself is a net negative due to how suffering is greater than pleasure.

However, since no such option is available to me, all I can do right now is be pro choice and say that, if somebody wants to die, they should be allowed to die peacefully and, if they want to live, I guess they should be allowed to live. I refuse to believe that me seeing an earlier death being better than a later death is going to encourage anybody to kill themselves earlier. This is just my conclusion and people aren't going to conclude the same thing all because of me. If you consider me to be "pro death" because of this, so be it but I need counter arguments as to why I'm wrong, not just pointless emotional arguments

Can't say I've ever noticed this on threads I've visited, although it's always a possibility. Far as I can see the Admin & Mods are great at unobtrusively stepping in and dealing with any concerning posts. Generally, it seems much more common for anyone who seems undecided or impulsive to be advised to think seriously about any final decisions. And I've seen nothing but encouragement and good wishes for anyone who posts that they've decided to try again and give life a chance.

I have seen some very concerning comments here that really smell like someone just wanting people here to kill themselves for said commenter's enjoyment. I know there are people here who wish peace for those regardless of their decisions and genuinely want other's pain to cease or heal, but the amount of sadistic fucks here can be so sad sometimes. Well I'm glad their lives are so bad if they really have to resort to murder to patch their insane deficiencies, because then they 100% deserve it. It's pathetic. Cowardice and the need to hide never come from anything good.
