I have been suffering from a chronic disease for the past 8 years. It is getting worse, and I need to end things as it is the right and humane thing to do.
Now, to the point: because I have been suffering so much for so long, I wanted my end to be as painless and peaceful as it can be. I found the Exit Bag method couple of weeks ago and ar first or seemed like the right choice without a doubt;
But then, I delved into all the information regarding it, which sprouted questions that the megathread didn't really answer:
1. Both dignitas and some U.S jails attempted a nitrogen Exit Bag on people. In all cases it failed to deliver a peaceful death, as the patients described writhing (before being unconscious). Now, TiredHorse in the megathread seems at first like an all-knowing person regarding this method, but I mean if the number 1# institution for euthanasia can't do it right, and the american death sentence experts, how could truly any of us? With 100% guruntee? Exspecially by ourselves?
2. In the instruction video I have watched by Dr. Bucht, the part he makes the tukey bag to have an elastic band is too complicated, same thing with other instructions I see...I personally thought to take a thick large office band, cut it in one place, tie it around my neck so it fits, then folding the ham and taping the hem all around (not the opening).
3.The Nitrogen vs Helium vs Aragon debate. Dr. Bucht suggested in his book, and video, use helium, as it is cheap and easy to buy, two cannisters 420 liters. But he also suggested 9mm plastic for the opening, and now that I bought and tried it, it is obviously too small diameter. So what tubes should I actually buy? And I checked nitrogen tanks and they are really expensive. How many liters for a canister should one use again?
4. The 15 to 30 minutes until the end occurs. Has anybody ever survived like a good 10 minutes to tell us that you don't envision or imagine or dream about anything during that time? Because for me it would be another caveat.
Thank you.
