  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

It's been ages since I was able to have a 100% happy, positive or simply good day.

Nowadays, I only manage to get some "happy hours" by drinking, working out, learning japanese and then, depression kicks my ass and there I am...in the CTB ZONE again!

Do you remember those days in which you were 100% happy? It could be your childhood, teen years, even when you became an adult!

My best years were my 25-29s. 30s suck! lol

Anyone can relate? Share your experience! How was your past in comparison to your present?

Childhood, even though many people suffer from abuse or different situations, is certainly amazing.
We were so innocent, so free, so humble...SO HAPPY!

I believe that my life was relatively ok up until puberty. But idk, tought to make an assessment. I'm probably in the lowest first percentile when it comes to remembering emotional states, so it's a tough q 4 me.

I don't think I've ever had "100% Happy Days", at least not in a row. I suppose I had 85% Happy Days for about five days in a row about 4 months ago though......

I don't think I was ever happy for years at a time, but for months, yes. I thought I was genuinely getting better during those times, and I really valued and cared about my life. But no matter what, it always seems to come back to this.

I would be more than happy with 85% happy days. Actually, that would be a miracle for me haha

I had a carefree childhood and early adolescence. In the age of 14 or 15 I first had suicidal thoughts, so childhood was the "happy time" in my life.
Nowadays... well there are some good times, but they are far too rare and also not permanent.

I keep coming back too. And it is worse each time.

Kill myself if life starts to become a negative experience, otherwise live. I've never really been happy, and recently age has been doing a toll on me.

If I could go back to how I was in 2017 I definitely wouldn't be contemplating CTB.

Honestly, I'm not sure if I can recall 100% days that didn't involve weed or alcohol or some other party drug.

I was probably quite joyful when I was 0-5, but at age 6 everything began spiraling downwards for me. Everyday has involved varying degrees of pain and anxiety since.

I do experience "happy hours" as well, though. Whether those happy hours are worth living for, I don't know at times. I just try to savor them when they appear and quickly accept it when they vanish again for my own sanity.

Kurt Vonnegut said that once you have kids you'll realize the futility of life. I can't find a partner because of my mental health history. Unless the past can be undone, I'm committing suicide because my mental health prevents me from connected with more people.

I won't. If I was happy without serious worries, I won't have suicidal ideations right now.

Damn, I dunno if I agree with his statement but I'm glad I have no children. I couldn't CTB if I did.

I'd stick around if all the practical stuff was good, like finances, health etc.

I never considered suicide before my health went to shit, even though my life was always empty and boring.

I think I remember being happiest in my early 20s! University and no real responsibilities until I graduated and adulthood smacked me in the face :P Going to be 30 this year if I'm still around in the fall and I'm definitely not looking forward to that (plenty of time to ctb until then????) but time has been so weird in this pandemic.

At this point, no; If given the choice, I'd take the ticket out. Good times and bad times all come around again, "this, too, shall pass."
I'd rather leave on a high note. I've had my share of bad, but of good, also, and I've done everything I set out to do. I don't want to go through the roller-coaster forever; I've had my fill of both, now.

But I do want better times to return for the sake of the children being born into this mess. At least let them have a chance to experience the better side of the world for a while. That's all I ask. To get their chance.
