I have a theory that one day people will look back at us as monsters for eating animals and not being vegans.

I second this.. I got that thought when I stopped taking meat..that future generations might think that way .. I was not comfortable with eating that.. (applies for me only).

The fucked up tging is that statistically, non human animals harm other non human animals than any human animal ever did. Doesn't justify us hurting critters but it's something to think about. Like the raimforert - dense with sentient life...dense with torture. Animals have to eat other animals just to stay alive. The only difference is, humans should know better.

Yup.. agreed . I know this is going off topic. But, I think it's due to social conditioning. A person by her/himself can not take it if they were to see the animal killed before taking.

I don't think humans will ever stop eating meat. But also humans kill and torture animals for pleasure. I feel humans should treat animals like Indian tribes did. They appreciated the animal for its nutrition it brought and for the warmth its skin/coat brought. There was no long drawn out display of torture to pass time and joke around with. It was kill the animal quick and use its carcass with respect.

I've thought about stuff like this for a while bc I whole heartedly believe we should have this right! I'm just worried I'd b locked up in the looney bin for my beliefs lol. And I don't have the energy to fight for something like this bc I can't even fight for my own life. The problem is, with all things in this world it would have to b regulated and there would have to b laws to prevent someone from making a rash decision. Should a 10 year old b able to kill herself bc she didn't get the Barbie she wanted for her bday? I kno that's a silly example but some people might want to ctb for a silly reason. There would have to b a line. I'm pro-choice but I don't like seeing people kill themselves. Some people do get better and obviously some don't. I could see eventually wayyy in the future maybe after many reported attempts to get better having assisted suicide b an option for the mentally ill but that prob won't b during our time unfortunately.
