Best way to sort it as horrible as it sounds is Devorce him and hurt him so he hates you say you cheated or something and take the cats to a santuraryStart severing ties. Stop giving a damn. This will either happen naturally or it won't, I believe.
I feel it happening to me. I've isolated myself quite well, and I'm such a grouchy bastard that few dare to even try to approach me anymore. This is progress. This is changing their faces from "please don't" to "please do." Once they all have that look, then I shall oblige.
