  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Supposed to move to Florida this week to start my recovery from Alcoholism. Sitting here researching the area just makes me want to kill myself here. I GUARANTEE I will do it when I get down there. Why wait? I'd be losing my life in families state/town and I think it would be easier on them if they heard I died 1000miles away. Just can't picture a life where I don't do this. It's joke and I just needed to find the guts to make it stop.

May I ask, is this your first treatment for alcohol addiction?
I ask because I was an addictions counselor (in a previous life) and while the programmes are run differently in our respective countries the premise of recovery is the 'same'.
I am happy to chat about treatment if you like.

As for your question of 'here or there' ... only you can decide what is 'best' for those left behind. Having considered this a lot for myself (and only myself) I have decided it probably wont make any difference to their pain and so its all about logistics and preparedness and leaving as little mess behind for anyone to tidy up.

I look at my life atm and know I cant leave it because my organised personality doesnt allow for leaving behind a mess. This means I recognise that I am not ready to let go yet ... when I get organised then I will either be ready or have found a way through.

I am sorry anyone has to endure the pain so many of us here experience.

All the best and as above ... happy to chat.

I'm sorry you are suffering so much, living really is tiring, I understand how hard it is when everything feels hopeless. I wish you well.

I understand that death looks attractive instead of moving to Florida. (joke)
Your family will not be happy wherever you do it but a long way away would be easier. They would never drive by the place and have to deal with the emotions.
