I don't know if this is relatable for anyone, but I woke up for work today and just fell off. My heartbeat was going pretty fast and I just feel this sad, anxious feeling in my stomach.

It's been there all day now. It goes away a little sometimes but never completely. It comes and goes. I can't even take a nap because it wakes me up.

I have zero appetite. I ate a banana 12 hours ago and I'm still not hungry. I honestly don't know what's happening. I have a dry mouth despite drinking a lot of water. And I have to pee a lot.

I've honestly never felt this bad before. Not that I can remember at least. Has anyone felt like this before? It's almost like the anxiety is coming right out of my stomach. And that's why I can't eat anything either. Every now and then, my heart beats faster and then just goes back to normal.

Not kidding, have a shake or something liquid. It's different than eating solid food.

Yeah, I had days like that.

It's a scary feeling. I just want to go sleep now but it feels weird knowing I haven't eaten anything all day...

I drank some chocolate milk earlier. Just to have something inside. But I kept burping afterwards and now I am even less hungry

I was given new meds and I'm still anxious. I can't sleep properly.
I know the hell you're going through. Just keep on trying. There will be better days but you gotta learn to live and deal with anxiety!
(I know, easier said than that. I don't even know how long I'll endure this!)

Hey,
I have experienced and am experiencing that quite often, though never without a reason and I additionally feel sick and not 'only' not hungry. But I absolutely know that anxious feeling in the stomach. First of, I'm pretty sure that you don't need to worry about not eating for a day or two (or probably even longer), as long as you are drinking enough you will be fine, at least afterwards. I can have this for extended periods of time, so I have found a way to eat something while feeling sick, you can try to do that if you want but don't put too much pressure on yourself, like I said, not eating isn't pleasant but also not utterly terrible or dangerous as log as you don't try to do any strenuous activities - I think.
I have various foods for situations like that, stuff that is ready and easy to eat (or only needs to be heated or something) and that I know is something I'm the least repulsed by when I'm like that. Maybe you know what that is for you or you can just take a look at the things available and feel what it is. And for eating it I have two primary tactics: watch something/distract myself enough to try to forget about the fact that I'm eating or listen to an audio like e.g. this one:

which can additionally be nice if you want someone supportive. And I take my time. But maybe I still can't manage to eat (much), well, it's fine, and I can try again later any time.
Anyway, I hope you'll feel less anxious soon and can eat normally again.

I can relate, though for me it's more during particularly depressive episodes, not anxiety. I'm sorry you've been experiencing this. It's great that you're drinking water though! Do you have a small snack or something? Even if you're not hungry, maybe nibbling on something could help with energy/mood later.

I go days without eating. I think at best I average about 900 calories on a good day. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Aren't you very skinny then?
Yeah, I'm getting pretty skinny. I'm getting quite ill with it as well to be honest. I just have no interest in eating very much.

I've experienced this a lot. Pro tip: I know it's hard, but eating something / getting nutrients in your body will make you feel better. You mentioned dry mouth and drinking a lot of water, so try something watery, like a fruit cup or maybe a smoothie.

Get a bag of hard candy. Sucking on the hard candy will rev up your saliva and might rev up your appetite since sugar most often makes people hungry. Also won't be too heavy on the stomach. Gum too is also a good alternative. Always felt starved after chewing gum.

Make sure you're drinking the right type of water also. Alkaline water helped me when I had dry mouth due to meds.

If you do gain your appetite try to eat something easy to digest like white carbs: pasta, bread, cereal, pretzels, rice, and crackers.

When I'm ill and have no appetite I drink some chicken broth, with a piece of coarse bread, some greek yogurt and snack carrots (the tiny ones). It's easy to get down and keeps away the feeling of being starved. I'd avoid super greasy and sugary stuff as it will make you feel extremely bloated without providing any nutrition.

Whatever you want for calories, protein shake for protein, micros are optional if it's just one day and you've eaten enough vegetables the previous day.

Vegetables? I've seen people planting these things in the ground. I assumed they were feeding the planet. Humans eat these? Never could work out what vegetarians eat even after extensive research.

Yeah, i have to force myself to eat breakfast most days. Make sure i'm not going mad staring at a screen, before i know it the whole day has passed and i'm starving. Then comes the junk food.

My eating is so chaotic due to stomach issues and having no set schedule due to no job and sleep patterns that are allllllll over the the place that I can go a day or two and maybe eat only a couple protein bars and a banana, or maybe only soda crackers and sprite. I just never have an appetite and most of the time when I do eat, i feel sicker (I also have a really limited diet due to my stomach problems so there's a lot of stuff I just can't eat) so like you, I feel horrible anxiety when I do actually eat so I do like DisillusionedDragaon mentioned and watch something to distract myself from the fact I'm eating (my heart palpitations get SO bad when I eat).

I've found that smoothies and soups and even things like Ensure (if you doctor them up with some other stuff like cream and ice and maybe coconut butter) are easier to get down if I'm feeling really anxious or food sounds horrible. Although sometimes I'll still go a day or two barely eating anything substantial. :( I hate having to FORCE MYSELF to do a natural thing like eating, and something other people actually enjoy. I'd give anything to feel normal hunger and to have lasagna or spaghetti or pizza again, or french fries.

If nothing else sounds good , have maybe just at least a piece of buttered toast and broth or tea. Try to keep a little something in your stomach throughout the day -- that helps. and like others said, try to stay hydrated. that's very importatn. you'll feel even far worse if you get dehydrated.

hugs to you <3

I can relate to your post so much... I am sorry you are feeling this way. I live with anxiety and tachycardia on a daily basis. They really do ruin everything: sleep, appetite, concentration.

I hope you feel better soon ((hug))

I have noticed during the times when I eat like crap, I generally feel like crap too.

Also, whenever I make sure to eat healthy for a breakfast, lunch, and a dinner..

It is not too far off soon after until my body notices and then it tells me whenever I forget to eat any of these three meals because of getting hungry without trying to, or meaning to get hungry, [edited]: and then actually start feeling like I want to eat.
