often, when someone is on their deathbed (in the instance of old age or perhaps terminal illness), surrounded by family, there will be gentle encouragement to let go.
phrases such as "it's okay, you can go now." i know i've even personally done this when having pets euthanized, but i've witnessed it with human family members too.
i understand that i can't expect anyone in my life to say that or agree with the decision to ctb. i know this. i know that there is not a single person that i hold dear that will give me this comfort. but that's why this is simply a vent.
anyone have any thoughts on this, or similar feelings?
