Would I stop being suicidal? Not really no. But I would have the means to get a shotgun. I would be able to take a trip to Japan, I'd be able to get a new drawing tablet and draw all that I want. I would get a gaming laptop. It would genuinely make me happier.

And then what? After you get all things? Then what?

There were studies made how much money (monthly income) makes happy and happier. I don't have links/sources anymore as I read about it too long ago. One gets only happier up to an income of 7k - 10k USD monthly beyond that, there is no increase in happiness any more.

However money does neither prevent suicide nor sucidal thoughts and money isn't a solution for everything in life but the society, we all have to live in, is built on money.

Not sure honestly. I mean I was supposed to be dead a long time ago so I didn't really think that far ahead.

Yeah- I agree with you. Money would definitely help me a great deal. It likely wouldn't stop me having ideation and it wouldn't stop me from perhaps one day CTB but the wait time would be a whole lot more pleasant- and, probably longer.

It's true that money doesn't solve everything. It can't buy health or love. I get to an extent why people seem to get irked when others think that money could solve their problems. I think there's this perception that- if money could solve your problems, they can't be that serious. Perhaps there's truth in that to an extent. Still- the reality of the situation is that the majority of us WON'T come in to that kind of money. In which case- lack of money can make for an utterly miserable, desperate life.

No amount of money or material wealth could ever make me happy. I despise everything about this meaningless, pointless existence.
Trying to gain happiness through money would be just another futile attempt at trying to convince myself that life is worth living.
If money would bring someone happiness, then they have not gone deeply enough into the existential rabbit hole.

It depends on your fundamental values. If they are materialistic ones, perhaps - but even in this case, i fear that it s never enough- a need calls for a need.
But tbh i m probably older than you, living in a wellfare country, and money is not a priority for me. I m not rich, not at all, but i have no need, i hate life activities, even such as eating One day I have stopped playing lottery because it wasn t logical... what could I do with billions ? It was perhaps the 1st step to realize how much i hate life.

Money would definitely change my entire outlook of life. And I dont even want an exuberant amount, just enough to pay off my house and take care of my elderly parents. Like that would significantly reduce so much of my stress.

money helps afford things that offer short distractions from death. Life is nothing but short distractions. Good memories, great experiences, self-improvement, all of these we can achieve if we have more money. it doesn't necessarily help with everything, but a good chunk of problems that causes depression can be solved, thus making life more tolerable.

I always think about what I'd do if I won the lottery id be able to buy a house, quit my job and make sure my family are financially secure. Shame it's just a fantasy. I dont know if it would make me less likely to ctb but id sure have some fun with it beforehand and live in luxury for a while.

Just saying money won't make you happy. It can reduce some of the stresses of life, but you won't be happy
