I have SN, but I'm too scared to try it because I have no antiemetic. I was thinking of looking for other alternatives. Has anyone had a failed experience with SN? How painful/uncomfortable is it ?

If you're interested in reading some first-hand accounts from SS users who failed, there's a document that compiles the megathread with all the stories here.
A lot of people didn't take any AE with their SN either. Almost all of the fails are because they were either found or called for help themselves before CTB--not because they didn't take AE.
You really don't have to take an AE, it's mostly there to make the experience more peaceful. You can attempt without it, just be prepared that you will be much more likely to vomit, and might need to take more SN to CTB.
