Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I think this week, today or tomorrow I'm going to drive to a shooting range. My goal is NOT to ctb, I'm not gonna try anything, I just want to practice using a gun, because I have literally no experience in even holding a gun and figure a little practice wouldn't hurt.
I don't want the people there to think I'm suspicious. I plan on telling them I want to practice using a gun before buying one because someone tried to break in my house once. is this a believable story? do I even have to say anything? advice would be appreciated

Nothing wrong with that. I'm sure the shooting range will be happy to have your business.

Yeah, thats the normal way to do it for anyone who hasn't been in contact with guns through family or friends. If you would just buy some shit you dont even know how it works and have never tested it, that would be stupid.

Yep, that's actually a pretty common reason for people to come in and shoot. You don't really have to say anything -- just you are new to guns and are wanting to try a few out before you decide which one you want to buy.

The guys at the range counter will be glad to show you your way around any guns they have for rental. (I am assuming you are wanting to rent a few guns to actually try out??) Don't go too wild -- just a couple of revolvers and a semi-auto or two.

Is a 12gauge Shotgun with slug the safest way?

Yeah, as long as you actually hit the skull it explodes, like ronnie mcnutt. Just dont aim from under the chin thats how people survive with their mouth and nose blown off
