When I die, I want to be buried coffin-less with a tree planted above me so that my decomposed remains will turn into the tree as it grows. It's kind of beautiful to think about—a sad human life reincarnated into nature, the cycle of life continuing. I would especially like to have a Chinese peach tree planted on top of me, as I am Chinese and eating juicy peaches in the hot Beijing summer is one of my fondest childhood memories. A weeping cherry tree would be nice too, since my sister loves them. In the spring, the tree would also bloom in beautiful pink flowers. I hope having some physical representation of me and my "rebirth" would help with my family's grief. They could even eat the fruits—but on second thought maybe they would feel weird doing that.
