Why is the world so fucked up? Because its inhabitants are.
Who keeps appointing despots, fascists, and the openly corrupt into power?
Who keeps silent in the face of blatant injustice and oppression?
Who complains about rigged or rotten systems that allegedly got us here but do nothing to get them fixed or replaced?
Who bullies minorities based on wealth, race, or creed?
It's simple to me. The world is fucked up because humans are fucked up. We are capable of good but we collectively and overwhelmingly prefer bad. Look at our history. It speaks for itself.
Instead of creating a society to get us out of the torment we experienced back on the plains of Africa during our evolutionary upbringing, we decided to create a system that mimics it. How dumb huh?
As per the Science, it turns out that humans are quite adaptable to their environments. It makes sense then, that if you put people into a cage with a cut-throat system such as capitalism, then we shouldn't be surprised that we all adapt into being assholes to each other, creating this fucked up world we live in. Voila!
Science clearly shows that it is our present system of capitalism that is to be blamed here (whether we like this answer or not)
