Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Sadly that is the position so many people are put in now. A job becomes a life or death thing.

You're not monopolizing. Post away!

Problems can grow to greater proportions than they merit if we don't engage with them. They can turn into monsters if they don't get attention, they get smaller and more manageable when they do. So, what would it look like if you didn't get a job? What are the possible scenarios? How would you function in each scenario? What would you be capable of, and what would you not be capable of?

That's all really difficult stuff. I'm so sorry for the challenges you're facing.

I realize I should have clarified...

What I meant was to do something like make lists or journal, to be able to look at what would happen and how you would manage each thing. What would you do with your cat? Could you put in temporary foster care? Is there an organization for rehoming? What would you do with your furniture, sell it? Where would you live, are there friends or services? Are there furniture and other items you could sell now and replace later when you have a steady income?

Losing your home and cat would be awful, but if you can face them in advance, you may feel more in control in the present and in the future, which makes the situation more manageable. If you don't, you may feel less in control if and when the worst happens, which makes it more of a monster.

Anyhow, just throwing this out there as something to help you have more control, feel more in control. Totally your choice if you want to or don't. Maybe it will inspire other ideas that resonate more.

Wishing you all the best!
