i overdose on zoloft tonight

tonight i take 8g of zoloft rectally to increase absorption. its not probably kill me but there is chance and lower doses have fatality for others. no long term effects apparently possible serotonin syndrome and can be fatal so we will see. this is rush and only because i have so much zoloft like i said probably not fatal but hope it is would not recommend this method to others people. if i do not return to forum then i am gone <3 :)

I took about 100 of the blue tablet strength Zoloft, barfed some back up 30 minutes later. Went to sleep,spent the next week shaking uncontrollably in every limb and body. From my experience I'd have to conclude the probability of success in ctb to be very low. Sorry but l thought you should know.

i am here reading forum nervous to do but excited as not like sn where chance is 100% but could be yes could wake up tomorrow. will keep updated if i can stay awake as zoloft makes you sleepy <3

i can not be sick medicine with absorb directly into bloodstream not through acid and stomach will not be nice if i survive but i have other method and bed ridden me can look for more sn sourcesb:) thank you for information

thank you! i know it wont likely kill but theres chance and i have it here so we see :) this forum is nice even if im not here long if this fails i hope for sn propranolol or tourniquet but here is first attempt

Sorry I thought part of the reason this site exists is for "harm" reduction. I'm not really a pharm buff but what is the likelihood of success and not ending up with serotonin syndrome here?

I'm not sure if that is going to work since from my understanding a lot of meds like these are specifically designed to either be thrown up or not do much harm if digested in large doses. But if you decide to try it anyways, I hope that you manage to achieve a peaceful end somehow or at least no bad consequences if it fails.

I have tried this route personally with Sertraline (no name Zoloft), I managed 80 pills in approx 15-20 minutes before I started vomitting heavily, and then unconscious, suspiciousof a seizure since my tongue was chewed up. Woke 12 hours later on the floor feeling like I was drunk, puked some more, somehow managed to make it to my bed, where I slept for another full day, with puke breaks of course.
I took the pills a mouthful at a time, washed down with wine, so I suppose that also could have played a factor. Antidepressant ODs are more likely to cause kidney damage from what I understand than fatal results unless "done right", whatever that means. If you do try this route, I hope you have a much smoother experience, and I'm sorry you're at this point.

Not particularly high. But we've done our part in making them aware of this, it's ultimately their decision if they still want to try it which it seems they do. And at that point, all we can really do is wish them luck

If the pills are taken rectally, how does the stomach start hurting? I thought the whole idea of taking the pills rectally was to avoid the interaction in the stomach?

That's how my OD on Zoloft and alcohol went. Was pretty unpleasant and a terrible experience. Don't recommend anyone doing this.

I would personally see it as not being a good idea to attempt a method that is unlikely to work but I hope that you find freedom from your suffering.
