Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

My older cousin is a cop and now lives with my aunt(her mom) who lives next door to me. She's off the clock, she leaves her duty belt, with the gun in it, lying out in the living room where I can reach. We don't interact much because she's like my (abusive) older half-sister's best friend and she's normally upstairs or out of the house anyways.

I thought of a plan to visit and sneak the gun in my bag, have an Uber ride ready for me to go somewhere far that my family don't normally drive by/to so they won't be reminded "oh this is where they found her body" and CTB. I'm looking for places on the map and seeing if I have enough money.

If once I follow through I can't turn back. I'll be arrested and put in a mental health institution that'll treat me like shit again. I have to be sure once the time comes.

Hope you're okay ruining your cousin's career and life. Though they are a fucking dipshit for leaving the gun unsecured like that.

Agreed, that plan would be very harsh towards your cousin. There has to be better ways to procure a gun if you really decide that you need one.

She can get in trouble for that? I thought it'd be on me since I'd take it.

I picked this option because I rely on family for transportation and it'd be difficult to explain without alerting them since I voluntarily went to a psych ward. Also I'm autistic and navigating how to gain a gun license isn't easy for a shut in like me.

A law enforcement officer leaving their weapon unsecured where anyone in the house can take it? That's going to get her in shit at her job and she's going to feel guilty for the rest of her life.

If you have any known history of mental health issues--whether officially on your medical record or just that your family knows--it will be even worse. She left a weapon available to someone known to have those problems and her punishment on the job will be even more severe. That's if she even has a job still after.

Where I live she'd be legally responsible, causing a death through negligence - probably getting a year or two in jail.
Even without legal repercussions, she will become a murder suspect, and she'll likely blame herself to some extent.

Yeah, she would definitely face charges.
