• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Work, bills, work, bills, work, bills till infinity or until I die. I feel like I'm stuck in an endless loop of getting money, and using money just to stay "alive". Is this what humans are meant to do until we die? If that's the case, then I want no more part of this horrid game called life. I'm not even progressing my life when I get my paycheck, it just evaporated into nothingness.

I'm completely ranting at this point, but I spent so much time of my life working a pitifully paying job that attempts to tear me limb from limb. I don't know what else to type here, but rant over, I'm going to bed lol.

It is ridiculous and infuriating. People weren't and still aren't being paid living wages, unions have been largely destroyed. But we have billionaires with absurd levels of wealth and record corporate profits, which also benefited from squeezing consumers. Amazon doesn't want to see unionized workers. Elon threatened punishment if Tesla workers unionized. Blaming taxes is not the problem unless you mean why aren't billionaires, corporations, bankers, not paying higher taxes. FDR did it right and it helped the country as a whole. Capitalism today...

The wealthy/conservatives want you to complain about taxes, as if they give a shit about you. Rile you up, get you mad about crumbs when their plates and cups are overflowing like an infinite all you can eat buffet. When the real issue is wages.

Productivity has gone up incredibly since the 80's, but not wages... Don't be fooled. All the wealth went upwards.
Below only goes to 2013, doesn't get much better.

Nature would provide everything we need for free but development of civilization invented "money" a form of payment for goods and thing we do for others. That is what we depend on now so much - we can't "eat" money, we can't live without it in the modern world (society). It's a the fuel of life and a necessity.

8 billion humans couldn't live in nature anymore - we suffer from the artificial environment we have built.

Wealth distribution - I'm aware that the whole thing is much more complex - but basically everyone uses certain "services", products and more from only a few companies. If you 2 billion people on earth deliver only 1$ per month to those companies it's a mathematical consequence that most of the $$$ will gather ther. "Economy" is much more complex than that but the people who often complain about "capitalism" should check their own expenses they could stop to feed the "system". Food, water and a place to sleep would be enough.

I agree the cost of living are too high and the wages are too low and after I failed big in life a few years ago in relatively old age I'd rather kms than work a min-wage job to stay barely alive.

Unfortunately rich people just want more and more and more money and the system is set up to exploit people who can barely afford food and shelter so they have to work for the rich people for basic necessities. The wealth inequality in this society is honestly ludicrous, it just shows how slavery never went away and is still widely practised. Unfortunately I have no hope at all that this will change since power, money and pretty much everything always flows up to the greedy narcissists who keep people suicidal.
