Venting I hate my parents

Both of them have ruined my life, and one of them still continues to make my life miserable. My dad didn't want anything to do with my upbringing, and mom is a schizophrenic narcissistic. She has abused me all of my life, even now she still does emotionally abuse me.
The rest of my family isn't much better than them. Ugh, I wish I was never born.

I'm so sorry to hear that you'd be surprised to know how many of us on here (probably the largest percentage) have had there lives fucked by the ppl who raised them and this is exactly why they ended up on this forum in the first place

I hate my parents too... my mom sounds similar to yours, she's schizo and thinks we're not her real family and goes on and on about how some conspiracy put her here and refuses to do anything to make an income anymore after losing her job. She's getting worse too.

My dad never cared enough about his health despite being diabetic my whole fucking life. Had a stroke over a decade ago and more and more health issues...now a 60 year old man baby who can't do shit for himself (things within reason despite his disability I mean) despite being able to talk on the phone all day long and expects my mom to take care of him...can't even remember his OWN FUCKING MEDICATION

My brother's a narc and my first bully, first ever person to make me self conscious about my weight as young as 6 years old. He does not help out and I can count on my fingers the amount of "nice" things he's done for me. Never ask this mother fucker for help either, he'll make you feel like complete and utter shit for needing any help. I still wonder how the fuck he got a wife the fucking bastard.

Unfortunately you are probably right in this.
My parents were flawed and terrible with raising children. Thus, I was too. I wanted to be better but wasn't. Shouldn't have even tried.

Same with mine, they definitely shouldn't have had any. I am very sorry that you and your bro both go through that.

Yeah, I plan to remain child free myself. I don't want to pass on generational trauma.

I wonder why terrible people like that have kids. im in the same boat, my father left and my mother is an evil person who terrorises me and my siblings emotionally every day. idk why theyd even have children only to either leave or treat them terribly. she makes it clear she doesn't like any of us (well maybe only her sons but even then she doesn't treat them well), so every day I ask myself why even have kids if you're never once going to treat them with love or kindness? I despise them with every part of me for even bringing me into this world

Some people shouldn't have kids. I'll always be broken because of my upbringing. I feel like I walk around every day with this invisible leash tightening around my neck. They don't even know how much they fucked me up. They never will, and that fucking kills me.
