Venting I hate my birthday

My birthday is coming up tomorrow and I dread it so much. I hate having a day where a bunch of people are going to reach out to me on social media just to pretend they care it makes me so anxious, I cant even sleep rn because of it. Birthdays fully lost their sparkle as soon as I was no longer a kid and it got even worse as an adult and I am sure im not alone in this. I just get to try and hide from the world through it all and hope as little people try to contact me as possible. I know my family who I dont talk to anymore are going to try and reach out to me as well and that makes it even worse, why do I have to panic about one guaranteed day every year that Im 'supposed' to be happy for??

i feel the same mine is already past and i hated most of it it was terrible knowing i was yet another year here + what you say, a bunch of people i don't care about (and they don't care about me either) contacting me to "congratulate" me

Mine is in February, and for the last 20 or so years, I just treated it as any other day. I don't even think about it when it comes. The only time I'm reminded is when someone says happy birthday...

My birthday is just another day... nothing special about it... and I don't bring it up to others or place any focus on it. It's similar to holidays in which I do the same thing... essentially business as usual.

I ignored the messages from my family and didn't reply, and now no one from them is writing to me anymore. I liked it and wanted it this way

I hate being born in December. Makes everything about it feel like a joke.

I'm sorry to hear about it, FamilialBlackSheep~ :( I wish things could be better for you this day~ :( It's sometimes to know that people cared about you enough to send a message~ Not getting anything at all feels worse~ >_< however, tbh, I hate it because I hate getting older, and it's the day where that happens~ >:(

I hate it too. I hate that it's supposed to be some big deal, bit never was, or is. I prefer to pass that day in silence.
