Discussion I get too anxious when I think what will happen after my death

And no, it's not a void, or nonexistent life. I know there is something but what is? The astral/espiritual plane? Hell? Heaven?

Each religion says different things about suicides. I just found one doctrine saying good things about suicide people. To be honest I don't believe something bad will happen, I don't thing god would punish people who kill themselves. Because it's unfair...

For people who believe in the after life, what you believe will happen?

I'm not sure if I believe in the afterlife. I rather think that after I ctb there will be nothing because that makes me feel better. I can't feel guilty if there is no consciousness after death.

But I've always enjoyed thinking about reincarnation too. I'll be reborn as someone new, in a new life. Maybe I can be happy then.

I feel the same way you do hacel, which is what stops me from pulling the trigger time and time again. I do believe in an afterlife from suicide which is some sort of purgatory or hell.. I've grown up hearing and learning that from my religion so.. Idk, ? I'd love to be wrong with this ; just my .02.

I would like to have a void after death, but physics says that nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed.

Energy can't be created and can't be destroyed, therefore the energy from our brain will continue to exists.

The way I look at it, it could be better than life, worse than life, the exact same as life, or The Void. So that's three out of four options where I'm at least coming out even.

Because I accepted Jesus as my savior, I believe I will go to Heaven after I die.

I don't personally believe in an afterlife. I'm not saying there isn't one, just that I don't believe there is. I don't think this just because I want or need to, but simply because it seems the most logical and most likely. But I can see how that would make one anxious and afraid. I'm sorry that this is eating at you. I was religious until my late teens and then studied many different religions afterward and it does vary, so I'd say just pick the one most comforting. If there is an afterlife, I don't think one would be punished for something like suicide. If they are, that is just incredibly cruel and heartbreaking. However, the world we live in is incredibly cruel and heartbreaking, so it wouldn't be far fetched. I hope you find peace with this. If God is real and good, then I'd say you have nothing to worry about and God will greet you with open arms. I know you probably didn't want to hear from me, but do know that I wish you the best and hope you can comfort with this. Much love, friend.
