I recently made the mistake of getting close to someone. I really like this person in a romantic way, and things were looking promising as regards being in a relationship.
But now they have ghosted me and have returned to their ex.
The sorrow I feel is unbearable. I was suicidal before but am now very close to it. Why is love so brutal ?

You just cannot trust and rely on other people, that is the harsh reality of existing here. Very often humans just create more suffering so it's best to just avoid them, this species is so horrible in general.
