I agree with a lot of what you said, and I don't think parents should be attacked here. However, every example you used included a minority group. Parents are not a minority in the same way as the others you mentioned.@FuneralCry Let me help you understand how it feels… by changing a few words in a selection of sentences in your post. And no, I don't agree that just because being a parent is a choice, it makes it ok to be attacked whereas not having a choice about being neurodivergent protects you.
This is the suicide discussion forum - your post isn't a suicide discussion. Feel free to get it moved to Offtopic.
Note - I don't actually agree with the following, I'm just making a point.
I really do find it disturbing how people with neurodivergence actually choose to post here.
Gay people make me want to not exist even more as it's disturbing the lack of compassion they have for others.
How could anyone be so selfish to impose the hopeless abomination that are Asians, it's really criminal to do such a thing.
Neurodivergency is a very encompassing term with conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, etc. It is advocated for the rights and inclusion of these people. They have protections in terms of employment as well.
Gay people have historically faced discrimination, persecution, and even violence due to their sexual orientation. Many countries have laws protecting the rights of gay and LGTBQ individuals against employment, shelter/housing, etc.
Asians, similarly to LGTBQ, have faced various forms of discrimination as well. Xenophobia and discrimination was rampant in the wake of WWII. Even now, they might deal with stereotypes, xenophobia, and racism. They also have laws and policies protecting them.
In contrast to those groups, parental status is not considered a protected characteristic in the same way as disability, sexual orientation, or race. There are some laws protecting familial status, but that seems entirely different.
I also want to stress I completely agree with every other thing you said, and parents should NOT be attacked on here. I'm not a parent, but everyone here is struggling in some way, shape, or form, including parents. Maybe you should use the ignore feature on FuneralCry's post if it upsets you, but you are well within your rights to share opinions, as is FuneralCry.
