I live in a country where men get to wear wtv they want and show as much skin as they want, but women, they can't even show their face. Even if you wear modest clothes with absolutely no skin showing from your body but you show your hair, then you are a sinful whore who's going to hell. The world is suffering because you're showing so much to stranger men!
Every time I see a guy walking in the supermarket. I stare at him. I observe how he moves freely. He gets to talk and walk without being scared a family member might see him walking around with no abaya or hijab. He can just... Exist.
There some restaurants that can only be for men not because women aren't allowed to enter. It's just cuz socially when a place is used mainly by men, then it's theirs and a woman cannot enter without being judged or harassed.
My dad thinks I can't live alone because what if i needed a mechanic, plumber, or just any kind of house repair? A woman cannot be alone with a man. And it's not like the society is trying to make it safer for us. They actively try to convince us we need a man yet they are all dangerous.

As gloomy and pathetic this post is I hope this could make some of you realize the kind of blessings they live in and maybe give life a shot. I would love for others to live my dreams. It's nice when what i want is realistic and many people can have it

There's still such a long way to go for equity, the state of things for women in so much of the world is still so grim. I hope you can find some freedom some day, ideally in life.
and that this post doesn't get inappropriately intruded upon

To be fair... here in the USA, the supposed "free" western culture... we don't really treat women that much better. It's marginal at best.

Sure, women don't have to be covered up and hidden... but here's the thing... any woman not covered and hidden? She gets criticized, and if something happens to her, then she "asked for it" because of how she dressed or where she was or whatever... Oh, and here we also criticize the hijab too... like, women can't win no matter how they dress... and in the USA, you are just as likely to be criticized for what you wear by women as you are by men. Hell, I'd say women are more likely to criticize you for what you wear than men are... Men will just judge after-the-fact if you get raped or assaulted and say you "wanted it" because of how you dressed... but women here will criticize you even if nothing bad happens to you.

My point is... Women kind of get shit on everywhere, just in different ways... and it continues to amaze me how we can be "modern" in a lot of ways and so backwards in others.

And then whenever you try to find people to relate online, it's just Western supremacists who leverage feminism for racism and xenophobia. It's kind of funny because every time I hear men close to me talk about women in Islam, it's always a projection (which is sad because you know it's mostly that they're trying to justify the premise of even wearing a hijab -or even worse coverings- instead of already having had a reasoning for what they believe in the first place). Somebody wearing normal clothes (a t-shirt and jeans with their hair out) is not dressing immodestly unless you're just a pervert who gets off just by looking at women in normal settings. The thing about not being able to live on your own is another silly thing too. If I remember correctly there's a certain limit in distance women can travel without a male (either being a relative or a husband) or something like that which is also dumb and arbitrary.

People in the U.S. always complain about everything whilst being part of the nation which does the least. It is true that it's a privilege in the U.S., we do have it good --what other country exploits other nations so blatantly and has nobody do anything about it? Our minimum wage is FAR above any country in the 'global south.' Even our relative discomfort is nothing to that of the third world, and that's another thing which sucks: nobody does anything. Our inaction in the first world hurts people more in the third world than it does us, but no, let's complain about how it's okay to bomb Iran because they are repressive instead of actually do anything about that repression.
