last night i found out that my family wants me to go to college instead of joining the army. i was set on joining the army for the duration of the year until last night. of course i've applied to colleges but they're all community and one university. i don't really know what to do because i feel like a failure to be honest. all my friends are going to their colleges because it's what they wanted. i didn't apply to many colleges because i wasn't sure my family would be able to pay. now that all changed. i really don't know how to feel because i don't know what im going to do with my future anymore. my mos was 68T, animal care specialist. im just really stuck and disheartened. this is the first time in a while that i really feel like there's nothing for me i really don't know what to do at all. i have no one to talk to.

i just hate how i was lied to and how it feels like im lying to the people around me
i feel like i wasted a bunch of my time and had potential to go somewhere far but didn't act on it

You may still have time, not this year but next year. So in the meantime, you could work and better prepare yourself financially for what could be your entry into university.
