I don't think people love people after they die anymore than they did before they just realized you will be gone. Maybe they just didn't show the love before or maybe they do not actually love a person but are just in a state of shock of the change or maybe they feel some sort of "oh poor dead person" vibe. I wonder which is more common? Guess no way to actually 100%, most people themselves have no idea.

Right. And people that complain about not being loved until they're dying/dead are guilty of the same behavior with others. It's only human to take for granted of what and who you have in your life until it leaves.

It's been about a week now. I'm still feeling kind of strange. My short term memory is kind of wonky. I'm finding myself standing in rooms forgetting what I was doing way more often. Maybe I'm paranoid.

I don't know.

I'm sorry. Can you talk to your doctor and get more reassurance that this will improve? The stress of the situation I imagine could cause this as well...?

Could be an emotional response . You've been under tremendous stress . Hospital ... Life & Death . You've moved from ctb to recovery . It's a huge workload on the brain . Take your time and rest

these relate from ctb to SN, so highlight that method is efficient and little painless. I'm in the right way. thanks for reporting your experience with SN

I'm going to star this off with: You have no reason to believe me. I'm just a person on the internet.
I also am not encouraging anyone to CTB with any method. This is just my report from coming back from the brink of death.

A few days ago, I got my cup ready with 25g of SN and started to drink it. No AE, just tums. After a couple gulps, SI kicked in and I realized that I wasn't ready. Dumped the rest of the cup (was a whole lot still in there) and went to the bathroom. At this point, I figured that I didn't take enough of it and I could sleep it off. I wasn't feeling anything after about 10 mins so I though I'd be ok.

Absolutely wrong. While sitting on the toilet, I started to feel my pulse in my head. Like BOOM BOOM BOOM. I got up from the toilet and the whole apartment started spinning. I was sweating like crazy. I thought I could make it to my bed...i didn't even make it past the living room. I don't remember anything past this. My roommate apparently found me and called 911. He heard me fall on the floor. I don't remember anything else. Just nothingness.

Regained consciousness a few hours later hooked up to multiple IV ports and a really loud Oxygen mask hooked up over my face.

I was given the Methyline Blue and came back shortly after it. Got a pretty grave report from the ER Doctor. Oxygen % was in the 50s and they weren't expecting me to come back. Had to go through hours of neurological and physical tests.

Strangely enough: SN didn't show up in my Urine or Blood results. I was out of the hospital a couple days later... I'm doing fine now. Not sure if I actually want to CTB now anyway, if I did... I would probably do this again and make sure I was somewhere secluded like a forest or a big park at night.

Summary:
No pain. No serious nausea. Just discomfort from sweating and not being able to hold my own body weight. It never dawned on me that I was dying.
Side effects: My muscles felt like I walked up 500 flights of stairs on my hands and knees. Felt like my entire muscles were filled with lactic acid.

Not to be pedantic, but you aborted your attempt and thus deliberately survived rather than accidentally survived.

I think they were checking if I was able to walk properly before trying to discharge me. They seemed absolutely shocked that I didn't suffer any brain damage from the lack of oxygen for an extended period of time.
What extended period of time you mean?
You had to wait to get attended at the hospital or the ambulance took so long to your apartment and then to get to the hospital?
How much time did it pass from your house to getting medical attention/oxygen?

I got a bit more information from my roommate: medics took about 15 mins to get to the apartment and I was in the truck within 10 more minutes. He saw them put some tubes up my nose (this doesn't sound right but I won't question him) in the driveway.

I was apparently talking while on the ground too... I was telling him that I was OK and just needed to go to bed. I was repeating that over and over until my skin went pasty white and my hands went blue and then I stopped making any sounds and just started shaking uncontrollably.

I don't remember any of that.

I was under the impression that SN didn't cause any long term effects such as brain damage, after recovering.

Why does SN not cause brain damage?

I am sorry you had to deal with this.
If I had such an issue, I would use my 2 fingers to throw everything up, then drinking a liter of water, putting two fingers again and throwing everything up again.
Drinking once more and throwing up once more.
SN can be dangerous even if a few sips taken.
You are lucky they did not hold you too long and had no weeks spent in psych ward.

It feels like I talked to at least 5 different doctors and 15 different nurses over my stay. It's possible the one who passed the comment just noticed my blood oxygen levels and didn't know too much about the entire situation. I was like the freak show in the emergency department.

With all this CoVid shit going on.. it can be understandable.

If it is acquired methemoglobinemia, they should have asked you what medication or what food/poisons did you ingest. In case of methemoglobinemia caused by medication, this situation may appear again so I am surprised they did not do anything about that.

This is one of the methods I have considered previously. Can you tell me how it tasted? I worry that if I start to drink it and it is awful that I may not get enough down to kill me.

It didn't really taste like anything, really. After taste was a little cringe, but not anywhere close to the worst things I've ever tasted

Salty aftertaste... but it went down real easy. Don't recall any strong saltiness while going down. Probably helped that I hit a mint vape pod right before.

It's kind of foggy... but no, I don't think so. I was more concerned about just sitting back down or lying down. My limbs were like jelly.
