Help How to use metal ring in partial hanging?

Should I tie use a noose knot with the metal ring inside it or use a normal non-running knot?

This knot does the same thing, it creates an "eye" that allows the noose to tighten fully. Just feed the other end of the rope through the loop.

That creates the desired effect, but my rope doesn't tighten/slide when that knot is made.

It will if you feed the other end of the rope through the small loop. It makes the "ring" mentioned in other threads.

Not sure i follow there. Is there a fifth step to doing it? I create that knot and it's totally stationary. Can I PM you?

I wanted to use the metal ring to reduce pressure on the trachea.

Not sure how it will reduce pressure, but give it a try. Practice and let us know how well it works.

I don't understand the purpose behind this knot in partial hanging. It's not a running knot and it doesn't tighten completely. I have tried making the knot.
