how to point a gun

i have cattleman thunderer 3,5" 44. kal. i mean, how to point it. i know it has to go to the mouth. but on what angle. I see there is at least 3. straith to back, a little higher, and up to the palate. how should i point it. will it have enough of power? i think it has a little over 400 J

two ways,
1. upright (parallel to the ground): focusing on medulla oblongata
2. up-side-down: directly towards the brain

i personally prefer 1.

1. is not perfectly parallel. it is slightly downwards and mouth is not perfectly aligned. but, 2. is perfect
