how to not fear suicide.

i don't have a life, I want to commit suicide, but the pain I must pay for eternal rest in nothingness overwhelms me seconds before carrying it out. For those who previously committed suicide and those currently contemplating it, what was their motivation, and how were they able to do it without fear, whether of the act of suicide itself or what comes after death

Either the pain of existing exceeds your SI, or you chip away at your SI enough to CTB.

I cant really go into that, but yes I had finesse. My death had meaning is the jist of it. It was the final piece I needed to pull the trigger. SI is strong with me, so I use intellect to question instinct. The truth is instinct is stronger then intellect. At the end of the day we really are just animals. Thats the angle I work on today. Ive seen many dead animals on the road. Whats one more?

Many here talk about si but in my case when i decided to kill myself there was no si, my brain had an objective to kill myself so i had no fear or doubt on the road to the site and when i jumped i even felt relief, maybe my si is weaker like people who do daredevil things

You're so lucky… I wish I could feel like that. I want to be sure of myself and have the conviction to do it so bad. My misery is self-imposed and I know it…

Those who comitted suicide know the answer to your question but they cannot answer. I guess the psychological research in the realm of suicide prevention has a lot of data that would answer the question about the midset prior to successful suicide.

I think I will have to be determined and despite the fear do what I have to do. Fear is part of life.
Our terror of death should not be anesthetized. I believe it should be welcomed.

We all have to die 'some' day, I might as well save myself the misery and suffering that is occurring/is yet to occur prior to living for a few decades more. So technically, by ctb through my chosen time and method, I am saving myself from more suffering which eventually would end in death anyway

Fear of death is completely normal. We are all human, I understand what its like to not fear SI, but I also don't wish that type of apathy on even my worst enemy. I really hope you push forward instead of fighting the fear. I am a firm believer SI should be ones last resort.

I think fear is normal, but maybe stop and think about whether you do infact want to ctb - as in not telling you not to do it just make sure it's what you really want
