How to modify a generator to emit CO

I watched the documentary "I love you now die" and it was mentioned that Conrad researched how to 'fix" the generator. I can't find this online, does anyone have information on this?

I searched for posts on Co generators, looks like many people looked into it. Don't know how many have attempted though. I'm considering buying one as well.
