Do what's best for you 🕯️ Right now, I'm stressed

i have an appointment tomorrow to get a medication and request an MRI. the medication i think im going to get is rispridone. which he had me on before but at the 1 month mark when it was suppose to start "helping" it made me go insane and i kept it from my loved ones for like a week because they were so happy i was "getting better" but after awhile i broke and told them. my husband said i should stop taking it so i called my family doctor asap and he said it was fine. if i get too high now though. im in exactly the same state i was in back then. but if i dont get high i can become violent. its basically the lesser of 2 evils so i might as well try it again. plus i have my loved ones this time and they understand my plan which would make it easier to look for support during this. and of course i have you guys :)

can anyone suggest anything that might help with these thoughts? i was thinking about having an antidepressant on hand as well to help just in case but they would have their own side effects so im not sure but ill mention it as an option tomorrow. but what im looking for by asking you guys is something maybe OTC that can help. a supplement, a stress ball, a coloring book.....idk im up for just about any option lol.

I was given once prescription meds from my psychiatrist that also made me feel like I was going insane, I called the drug center hotline (for overdose on hard drugs and similar stuff, because there was no other place to call at that hour)
And they gave me some not that useful advice and then I just had to come with it until I could get off of the meds completely and get new ones. Because of the "insanity" I couldn't go to school for like an entire week. I felt so horrible, words can't describe it

Okay - The suggestion I would make before I forget it since my memory is so poor at times -
Use ice cubes or just ice, as a form of self harm. Replacement to it. To cutting. :) Have the ice and hold it in a sensetive spot like your arm pits.
It's what I suggested long ago to a member here and what I could do nowadays instead of cutting, although self harm of any form hardly works for me anymore.
It's like... If a smoker, wanted to try the lesser evil so he has those electric cigars. :)

Rather than that, I will be willing to help with anything music and art related. Share I mean. To try and keep the mind off from slipping into the darkness.
Coloring book is okay too! :)

And hey, it's okay and I am happy your family members understood that the medication you were taking was not right and making you unwell.
The best possible thing if if all of you guys stick together there and try to unite your strength into fighting this monster.
Sorry if it's a little cheesy, but I just hope that if there is a violent side to BPD it doesn't have to happen towards special family members like your
husband for example.
I am sure he is doing everything in his power too. :)
This thread was rather interesting... Medication sometimes, yeah, it can cause so many problems as much as solve them.
Finally, I guess the punching bag idea - That would work to manage any anger too.
Heck, attach something on the bag like a pic of a person you dislike for example and punch till you run out of energy. :)
At least... So far what my ideas are. I will keep you updated on anything else I can come up with.
I was gonna say go to a firing range too if you can, though there it can cost more than the usual money.
At least in my country. :)

Sadly I react violently towards anyone that tries to stop me from hurting myself :(
