Took me a long time to find mine after practicing with ph. check the resource threadsEveryone actually has an adam's apple! Sit up straight and look up, this will leave less skin in the way. Place your palm on your esophagus protruding and swallow, the thing that moves up and down is your adam's apple. Follow this upwards and out slightly, and feel around all the lumps in your neck until you find the ones pumping blood. Too high up and you'll probably be pressing on your thyroids. It's just like checking your pulse. If you need video help, there's a bunch on YouTube demonstrating for medical purposes.
