Discussion How many CTB attempts do you have? What methods were they?

I have 9 at the moment. Most of them were overdose or cutting related. Needless to say, I was very uneducated about the low success rate of those two methods at the time, which is why I failed.

I tried to CTB two times: partial hanging and briquette suicide. SI ruined everyhting both times.

I failed a lot because half of my attempts were as a child who had no idea how to commit suicide. My last one was jumping.
Now I know better, at least.

Four. Tried to suffocate myself (ha ha not a chance), overdose (took far too many and they expelled themselves from me), and twice just wandered off into the wildnerness to hopefully never come back (it got dark and I got scared both times so came back).

Failure even at this.

I've never even properly attempted to ctb, even know I've never wished to exist here at all. The fear of failure is what has held me back as well as limited access to peaceful and reliable methods. It sounds so horrific to me, trying to die and failing to do so, I hate how difficult it is to finally exit this world.

10+. I have tried overdosing on meds, such as xanax and clonazepam, with vodka. Partial hanging few times and I also took bleach once lol

I think around 30 attempts with partial hanging and once I wanted to jump from a tower, all within 1-2 months. It was very draining and exhausting because I always left everything in best order... and at the end I was just scared…

CO + SN + mixing benzos and painkillers, ot should be enough.

I'm new here but, I've tried suicide by cop, hanging, asphyxiation, and jumping into traffic. I cant count how man failed attempts or cowardly backouts ive had so thats why i joined this site. (sorry for spelling poor education and possibly a bit of dyslexia)

But ones I remember are benzos od, mixing a bunch of opioids and alcohol, tried jumping on the subway tracks but was stopped a couple times, and lastly I drank sn but was found and treated too soon
There were many times when I've went to a certain location, or had the noose ready, but backed out
Thinking about it I feel like a failure at doing it

One, one time I was trying it by drinking washing liquid, it taste not so bad, I experience quite a headache lead to unconsciousness, but that unconsciousness only last for a while until I woke up in extreme pain in my head and vomiting

At that time nobody was there to pick me up to hospital so I just help myself somehow, I remember how people call me such a burden when I'm telling them what's happening, I'm extremely pained physically and emotionally

3 in total that I almost did.
My first attempt was overdosing on pills. But they weren't strong enough so I was relatively fine.
The second was trying the partial hanging, but I did it on impulse so I couldn't go through with it.
Third one is a little disturbing, so I hide it just in case it can be upsetting for anyone.

My third attempt never took place since it was a difficult one and the most horrific imo. I wanted to go in the forest with a dagger and something like gasoline. I wanted to just stab myself in the chest, hopefully piercing heart in the process, and before that pour gasoline all over myself and around me, close as possible. I think I wanted to set my surroundings on fire in hope when I'm passed out from blood loss and dead it would catch my body on fire as well so there would be nothing of me left. But due to impossible execution and endangerment of wildlife I tossed the idea out. Though I did go to that chosen place couple of times with my dagger, thinking I just can go through with stabbing myself, but wasn't brave enough to do it.

Honestly, all of them weren't properly thought through, but still I wanted them to be the last. I wasn't doing them out of pure desperation.

Didn't take enough and for some reason my body decided to have a six hour long panic attack that ended up with me in the ER vomiting profusely.

Thats what I said id do but then made a rash error and tried to drown myself in the bath (shallow water blackout) after a bottle of vodka and nurofen.

I felt it was working until police pulled me out of the bath.

I think I would try it again

It depends on how you count the attempts. But my most serious one was when I climbed up on the railing of the High Bridge in St. Paul, Minnesota, but then came back down quickly. I still think sometimes that I shouldn't have come back down. The High Bridge is high enough and I would have landed on the railroad tracks.

they were both when i was much younger, like a few years ago. i tried strangling myself with a belt a few times but it obviously never worked, another time a little later on i took like 6 pills that were just vitamins or something () so i wasnt very smart back then either

I've tried 4 times, 2 of the methods involved overdosing (which I couldn't find enough pills) and the other 2 I tried slitting my wrists.
