I've lived with it for half of my life, though I tend to attempt regularly... It's torturous to me, but I'll probably never be free...

my disorder comes with the symptom chronic suicide ideation, so probably until i die no matter how 'recovered' i am.

but theres one important thing to take from any question on this site (or in general really), every human is different. a thousand people can answer your question "im stuck with it" but that doesnt mean you will.
you shouldnt take anything much past an opinion to roll around in your head, never as gospel

If its for a longer time, it ebbs and flows. You can get used to many more feelings than you imagine

It's unfortunately possible to live out your entire natural lifespan with suicidal ideation.

Literally years. It was very recently that I learned that it's not normal to think about dying every single day. It just becomes an everyday thought

Statistically, most suicidal people actually lilve to their life expectancy

I've been wanting to kill myself for 30+ years. You can have these thoughts for the rest of your life. It's not uncommon. For myself, the right solution, which should have been obvious early on, is to just go through with these impulses and end everything. I wish you luck. I think you should try to find a therapist and try medication to see if they help [they probably won't or only marginally ameliorate the pain]. Stay strong.

I have these thoughts since early childhood and it's almost 20 years now. I don't think they'll be gone completely or at least I would be very surprised if they ever disappeared but I chose to live so these thoughts are just there like thinking about what I wanna eat today or anything else that I think about regularly. I'm battling intrusive thoughts and OCD and I treat my suicidal thoughts the same way I treat those. They are there but I'm not my thoughts and they don't define me or my actions.
So I kinda found my peace with them but they keep me company.

These thoughts have been with me for a long time, but I was always held back by the fear of upsetting my loved ones. I am the only child in my family, and there will be no others. I have shared these thoughts with almost no one, so this will come as a complete surprise if it happens.

I'm 24 and I wanted to die for so long I don't remember when it started, 16-17 at least and I had ideas way before but it wasn't that serious before 16

Well over a decade. It is something that just becomes normal to you. Some people live their whole lives thinking about suicide and just live their lives.

If you don't actually want to die, try some self-help. Read books, go online, do some research on how to get over suicidality. Find the root cause of what is causing these feelings and address them.

14 or so years. Everyone is different. You can go a lifetime with thoughts like these. You have to put work into being better and learning how to cope and live with it. There's no guarantee it's ever going to go away, but it is possible to survive. Look into therapy, medications, group counseling, treatment centers if you're suffering from any substance abuse issues. There are steps forward, it doesn't have to be final.
