• Hey Guest,

    As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

what do people think about suicide in movies, because i feel like theres a lot of movies with it in and also a lot of movies where its like suicide is not a thing? idk how to explain it. but anyways, i just watched Zero Day and it was really good, but i just got that feeling in the chest idk if people know what im talking about but yeah, its almost like a pain, but at the same time it feels like it gets harder to breath? well.
TW FOR SPOILOR!!!! and gore (movie)

so in the end, both boys (cal and andre) shoot themselves, in the head, and we see it from a security camera pov. and when they do it, like andre is not really ready, cal had been planning on commiting for awhile and he was just like, "im done, this is it" and then they go 1, 2...3 BANG! and you can just see their brain splash out of their heads while you can hear a lady from 911 saying like, "please andre, pick up, we can help you, we'll get you out of there" and then its just like...oh, well...their dead now (NOT REAL BTW, JUST MOVIE)

but i have also watched some others like; dead poets society, suicide room, archies final project, a silent voice, the virgin suicide, ect.

but yeah, what do you guys think about how suicide is shown in movies and series?
and if you have any movie recomandations i would love to hear:)
(it dosnt have to have suicide in, but yea i like sad movies, plus points if its gay and angsty;D)

Don't really care about it too much I guess. It just influences people to make really poor decisions regarding it that can negatively impact their life. I just think World's Greatest Dad with Robin Williams is a truly absurd film

zero day is so good, bro. i've rewatched it so many times.

and i consume a lot of media that deals with suicide/suicidal characters. the way suicide is portrayed is usually pretty inaccurate and cliche, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it overall because, well, i just couldn't care less. just about everything is portrayed inaccurately in media.
usually, i intentionally seek out media with characters and concepts that i can relate to. it's satisfying, i guess—even if the portrayal is done poorly, lol.

i have so many recommendations, but it would take forever to cover them ^^;
feel free to message me if you'd like.
