• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Tonight I will be making an attempt to kill myself with carbon monoxide, details listed here: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/will-this-carbon-monoxide-method-work.234546/

I do not know what will happen, but I will be making an attempt to the best of my ability, and whatever happens happens.

With that said though, in case it succeeds, and since I am waiting for it to get later at night for the people I live with to fall asleep, I am trying to sort out in my head what the best way to leave everything is. I *do* have people I care about, and I do have people who care about me, and I am trying to think what the best way to say something to most of them is. I cannot imagine saying nothing is bad, but I don't think a "hey, i'm killing myself, goodbye" melodramatic comment wouldn't rattle them.

My goal is to NOT traumatize anyone and to actually make things easier for *them*.

I have made peace with how my life went, and have written a letter that details a will of how I would like my material things to be distributed after my death for the people who live with me to find and, ideally, follow accordingly. Meaning, I do not want my final messages to have anything to do with trying to make people see me in any last light.

All I care about is making sure the people I care about are as okay and at peace as possible before gently moving on from me. How do you guys think you'd want to receive such news, and what do do you guys think the best to go about that would be?

I hope you find peace.
tbh i don't think there is any way to do this without traumatizing those we leave behind. Although, a well thought out letter would probably help them to see why you did it, which could help?? For me, I keep thinking if i could ctb without it looking self induced, it would be better, but I truly don't know

I think you should add something along the lines of "Thank you for making me happy", tell them it's not their fault and i personally would say don't apologise. It's a common theme in ctb, but you have nothing to apologise for. Them feeling guilt is inevitable, but all you can do to make it easier on them is telling them that they made you happy, and they weren't the ones who made you think you should ctb. Don't focus on them though, as hard as i imagine it can be. I'm sure you'll find peace, enjoy whatever is afterwards, my friend
