How do I get over the feeling of dread when the alternative is just decades of loneliness and ever increasing complications from my mental illnesses?

The choice is clear but it's hard. I tell myself this life is but a dream. I've had dreams as vivid as this life that spanned a lifetime. This life could just be one of those dreams.
