How did you found SaSu?

I was doing research about N and one of google search results was "N from D megathread".

I remember reading vague mentions of SaSu somewhere on Reddit around 2020 so I eventually started lurking once in a while.

I think I found it while googling suicide methods. This was a number of years ago when it came up higher in search engines

I was did a search for "suicide methods" or something like that online and came across an article that was written on the subject with a scathing review of the site. I Googled the name and here I am so I guess the article didn't scare everyone away and by mentioning the name of the website and the context may have driven people here instead.

I was searching suicide methods and one day, I came across an older article online that mentioned this site( not by name) and said that this forum tells people how to kill themselves. It didn't take me long to find it once I knew what to look for.

It was years ago in my case, so it's hard to remember, but I believe that I was trying to search for information about suicide methods and then I came across a news article about this site, but it didn't mention the name of it. It was one of the ones about someone who died after being on here, just some pro life type nonsense, but soon enough I managed to find this site as I wanted to know about suicide methods. But sadly years later I'm still here as upon finding this site I learned about how difficult suicide unfortunately is.

A member of a parenting group I was in was warning other members about this site and that it had guide on buying and hiding stuff via tor and vpns after their kid was found to have used this site and found ctb methods from here

I knew pro anorexia forums were a thing for anorexics to talk about their problems without censorship, and I wondered if the same concept existed for suicide, and after scrolling past the hotlines google threw at me, there was a website with a list of them and this was the only one that was straight forward and not on the dark web.

I was a part of the subreddit. I don't even remember finding that, but I had seen that it got banned on reddit some time ago, and then just searched the internet. Found the site very easily.

That is how I found this site as well. I am very thankful I did, like alot of other people here has said it has saved me. At least for a while it was.

Was on the subreddit originally, don't remember how I found it. It's interesting how different that place felt. If I remember right it was almost all philosophical discussion of suicide with very little personal discussion.

Like many other users- I was researching methods and came across the NYT article:

I thought- at last- I've been hoping to find somewhere like this the past 30 years! Idiots! Same goes for this new YouTube guy. Still- for what it's worth- I'm grateful to them. I likely would have ended up doing some very risky, very painful method otherwise.

I was searching for resources about suicide, methods to be precise when I found an article (probably from vice, but mot sure) which was talking about this forum in a bad sense.

I find it funny that they wrote the article to sort of keep people away and they just ended up helping people eho were lost like me.

Was in a depressive phase. Woke up in the middle of the night with the urge to find out how to hang myself. Googled "how to hang myself" and stumbled on a post on this forum that handed out instructions.

I went to sleep afterwards. But stayed around here in the forum, having found solace, in ruminating and reflecting on life, the worth and value of living and the human condition.
