I had to ask myself if I was someone who could reasonably do something like hang myself, jump from a tall building etc. and the answer was definitely not. So that narrowed it down to SN, which I doubt I can do or maybe... so far not sure. I haven't found something I know I could do.

I have contemplated many different methods and tried a couple. Overdose resulted in 10 days in a coma, partial came very close but the SI kicked in hard leaving me with a bruised and painful neck. .I also considered jumping and checked out a few spots but realised I basically didn't have the balls to jump. Trains still draw me to them and living close to a railway line I have stood at the side and watched them pass and it almost puts me in a trance like state. I go all light headed and unsteady on my feet, maybe this is from a huge adrenaline surge or it's once again that SI kicking in. I have decided on SN after lots of research and the availability. Am planning to follow the stat dose as per Stans guide, almost have everything sorted.

It didn't fail, I failed because I didn't give it much time. Literally thought I messed up and called 911 and admit myself into the psych ward. If I had waited 4-5 more minutes more, I wouldn't be here today.

Sorry to keep asking questions but how long did you wait, in minutes, before you called 911? Were you in pain? I'm just trying to figure out if I can and should do it.

Sorry to keep asking questions but how long did you wait, in minutes, before you called 911? Were you in pain? I'm just trying to figure out if I can and should do it.

Absolutely painless, didn't even throw up even though I didn't take any metos. Just thought the first 20 minutes was a dud. It was after I called and they were coming that I started to feel dizzy and my legs felt like they were swept under me. Woke up 18 days later in the hospital. I may do a thread on my experiences, I get PTSD a bit when I try to recall those memories.

From what I've read, charcoal / CO in an enclosed space is apparently peaceful and painless... SN also piques my interest but it isn't so easy to obtain in the UK.

Hanging. It's not my preferred method but I don't have any other options.

Ideally, my method would be as instant and reliable as possible. To me that's gunshot or decapitation. Accessibility is a problem though so I followed the crowd, ie SN. If it knocks me out and kills me, perfect, but sometimes it doesn't and that worries me since my greatest fear is failing. Might switch or improvise because of these doubts.

My method is gun since it is most reliable method. Btw it is quite easy to obtain gun licence in Czech Republic.

SN if I can get my hands on it (unlikely) or a shit ton of benzos and then hanging before they kick in. I tend to have panic attacks before suicide attempts and benzos calmed me down. No other method is available to me.

most likely hanging due to limited availability of options. possibly drowning or jumping if it doesn't end up being plausible for me.

Uh well I don't know honestly. I think it's a mix of the pain factors and how easy it is. For me personally I'll go for a shotgun over anything else, if I'm going to do it once, I'm going to do it right. I have fear a lot though, even when I mock-practice putting the gun against my head, I need to control my fears.

I wish I didn't live in a country with such tight gun control so I could CBT with a gun
