Hi,

I'd like to leave some informal notes for friends and family explaining things a little and saying what I'd like them to have each etc. from my stuff.
What is a good way to do this that prevents people worrying/trying to trace me ASAP?
I was thinking scheduled emails was the only way, and schedule them for a month ahead or something.
I would ideally have liked to have written. 'real' notes.
Leaving notes in the same room might mean they get taken away.

Thank you.

Why would your notes get taken away? Surely they'd get given to the people they're addressed to. I mean once your body is released all the evidence would be too?

But yeah if you don't want to leave notes, then scheduled email is good. Or you could post letters? Maybe post on the Saturday evening and ctb on the Sat night/ Sunday. Earliest they'd receive the letters would be Monday. You could also take photos on your phone of the letters too, just incase any get lost in the post so that they at least have that as a backup.

You can get better. But the choice is always ours.

I was thinking about that, actually.
I would like to leave notes to my ex girlfriend, my best friend, my brothers and my parents. Perhaps some other friends too...
I'm simply going to mail them all. I'll then send the letters the day I die. Easy and better than WhatsApp (more meaningful and I won't be stopped).

It's not a good idea to mail the letters. If you should change your mind at the last minute and decide not to go through with it, or if something unexpected should happen and prevents you from ctb that day, they will still get the letters, and you will have a lot of explaining to do.

Very true. I guess you should only do this if you're 10000% sure and if you're really okay to accept the consequences should you back out or things not go to plan. 🤷‍♀️ but yeah there's definitely better ways. I still don't see the problem with just leaving the letters in the room with you anyway.

Gotta be realistic here there is no way to do that. Just send emails

Do they not get confiscated by police though

I think what I'm trying to understand is it better to schedule emails or leave letters to be given to people. I'm guessing emajls
Initially they would be confiscated but then once cause of death has been confirmed non suspicious / a suicide, they would be released to the family / next of kin I'd assume?

The police aren't going to keep anything that doesn't belong to them. It may take a while for them to release the letters, though. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. They have to make sure that your ctb was just that and not a murder done by someone else. It may be easy to prove that.
