I bought a rope at the dollar store under 5$. Not sure if good. Drowning hurts too much... 10 stories us said to be the minimum but my SI freaks out... People used belt & door handles but I have yet to succeed..
I am sorry that you are in this situation. Different people would prefer different things but drowning can take upto 2 mins and you would aspirate water then it would end with cardio-respiratory arrest and drowning is said to be among one of the hard methods I don't want to scare you I can understand your situation but drowning can be hard. Did you look into shallow water blackout method? And scarfs, silk ties can work as ligatures but that does depend and you run the risk of breaking it if it's tensile strength is less also nylon or any ties with a string aren't recommended they can decapitate you. Haven't tried. Maybe decapitate you slowly but going to be painful either way.

Yeah also ropes are easily available look at the some guide that helps with it. Hanging can be better than drowing or even peaceful if done correctly that's what I heard.

The risk with hanging is if it's not fail proof then there is risk of getting permanent brain damage and I am afraid of it. After 6 mins it's irreversible.
Yeah I can't do these and I haven't yet decided. I don't want to give info but it feels someone would harm themselves. I don't mean to deter anyone but let them know the consequences because if they just do it out of desperation it could worsen their situation and I agree it wouldn't go through bone so it's like holding yourself and slashing a few times that sounds really painful with strings.
I think that I would choose drowning over jumping if I had to pick one. Jumping scares me because of fear of heights so I doubt I would ever get the courage for it and the main reason for choosing drowning is that it's more easily accessible for me. I don't live near anywhere high enough for jumping. They both sound like horrible methods to me but I guess that it's a personal decision which one to go with. I hate how we live in a world where ctb is so difficult.
