How bad will plain old strangulation without corn bags be?

Depends if you can compress the arteries…otherwise you're going to feel that awful suffocating feeling unfortunately.

Do you think I would necessarily make much noise with this method? The only chance I have to attempt this at the moment is with other people in the room beside me..

I think there tend to be some convulsion, but tbh I don't know much about it

if you're constricting your windpipe, i imagine there will be quite a bit of noise. gasping for air, choking + such. but if you constrict the carotid arteries, it will be fairly quiet barring possible convulsions. i guess noise made by convulsions varies on a lot of factors

Hmmm that was my worry. It definitely won't work at home then, but probably in a hotel.
