How mindful of customers' privacy are large chain hotels, when receiving stuff from an online order? If I order SN from a hotel room, could I be "caught" bc it'd look like a suspicious powder i.e. do they go through customers' mail packages? For more context, this is in Canada.

Also, follow up question: not to make this a political thread, but how bad is the trucker protest situation over there? My plan is to move to Canada soon and do the deed there within a month or so of moving. Will the trucker situation give me problems? Maybe I'm overthinking this?

The trucker protest is largely confined to Ottawa, with some other cities—esp. border towns—seeing activity. If you're talking a month it won't matter, it'll be done. If you came over today, it would depend how and where—ie airports no problem, driving maybe (again, depends where)

As for having mail sent to a hotel—don't know. The hotel itself can't look at your mail, they'd have to contact authorities if they thought something was odd. Even Canada Post can't just rummage through, they'd have to contact the RCMP or something if they suspected an issue. Now customs can open whatever they like…

Well, that's not very encouraging :aw:. My package won't have to cross international borders, so I guess I'm a little safe (in terms of customs)? CanadaPost shouldn't be a problem either, people HAVE successfully bought from this source within Canada. I guess I'm mainly worried about what happens once the package reaches my hotel. If RCMP gets involved, I suppose I'd get called for a friendly warning and maybe some "welfare checks"? Lol. It's not like buying SN is illegal (yet).

My original plan before I found out there was a Canadian source was to fly it with me from my country but that's DEFINITELY not going to work. Too bad I can't ctb here in my country.
