Sitting here in a hostel. Trying to stay distracted...not really what I had intended ideally for my (hopeful) final Xmas eve, but I guess it will do. This petty holiday never really meant much to me anyhow

I can totally relate to your experience, I was in a backpackers hostel about fourteen years ago at this time of year without a cent to my name. No food, no drink, nothing.

Aww, man. That's awful. I'm so sorry. I think I would straight up panhandle. My friend and I did that one day when we were teenagers, and people were very generous.
