• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Sometimes I feel the concept of hope is actually delusional. There is no real evidence that things will get better. It is just like a natural innate mechanism to tell you to be hopeful. It does not guarantee that the future would be successful. In a way it seems like wishful thinking.

Like why "hope" for things to happen when it isn't really set in stone. It's like betting. I might as well exit the planet than wait on some delusional future outcome that has a probability of not happening.

What are your thoughts on this?

I agree, people always say you never know and that life could get better but that also leaves the option of life getting worse and it's like they just refuse to acknowledge that part. I'm not an optimist, I don't think like this. I'm a realist, I know things can work out to an acceptable place, but I also know that there's a bigger chance it won't work out at all. And I don't want to take that chance of things getting worse, they're already bad as they are and a struggle to breathe through.

I think that some people are delusional and hope for unlikely/impossible things that just make them get used with their shitty lives and their only source of actual happiness is their delusional thoughts. But on the other hand some people have hope on things that they are acctually working for to turn out good. So in that case I think it's a good thing to have and will keep them motivated even if it does not work out.

I find that hope is passive, a paralytic and gives you reasons to be inactive. I find that faith is the active version of hope.

Or, you can embrace despair, absorb it deep into your soul and let it feed your desires until you push the despair past the breaking point until it becomes the greatest positive in your life.

hope is just our basic human instincts lying to us, telling us to survive regardless of how shitty and unfair our situations are, those instinctis manipulate us into being delusional about the future and always expecting a positive outcome.

but the problem is, you are either hopeful or hopeless, there is no in betrween when it's about our lives, and being hopeless about our futures is what brings many of us here to discuss how to put an end our lives.

some things just can't be fixed and most people refuse to accept that fact, this is why there are so many pro lifers pretending to care and listen, believing that those actions have an actual impact on the life of people who have truly lost the will to continue gambling.
