I have no clue what you mean, can you explain?
@TiredHorse you seem to understand?

I´m genuinely curious what these seemingly unrelated and misplaced words add to the thread (before I will report).

I don't, entirely.

I'm guessing that this older thread, from an era when (if I remember correctly) several over-the-top methods were being humorously explored (I recall death by overindulgence in chocolate was one of them), has been taken out of context as being more serious than it was intended at the time. It was an entertaining intellectual exercise/diversion that I doubt anyone intended to be taken beyond the realm of a casual discussion. A lot of similar "yeah it might work but why would you bother?" methods are discussed on a regular basis, this just happened to be one of the more flamboyant.

Yes, people have clearly created systems by which they have CTB by home-made guillotine, proving the idea is not beyond consideration(!), but I doubt anyone here has the resources and skills need to create a guillotine that they would not, when confronted with the task, more pragmatically allocate to a less melodramatic exit.

I don't know that I would bother to report that post (#31). I suspect it's just shock at taking an old thread out of context.

But I agree that if the forum becomes a place where gruesome methods become explored as a means to a deliberately shocking end, it won't be a pleasant place to hang around.

Mmm, yes. I had a warning (and thread deleted) only this morning for a less than serious suggestion, in which I mocked some of the more bizarre methods which have been suggested recently.
I do see that many of the contributors to the forum are in a heightened nervous/emotional state ( include me in that !) and will be sensitive to somebody seeming to make light of their proposals.

It would be the bloody limit if some are going to decide what is gruesome and what not, and this entirely based on the perception of the eye. Taking the subjective experience of the dying person into account we can even rank N - being basicially an experiment on human beings - under one of the most gruesome methods after a little research. It is entirely and quite rightly possible that one would prefer an INSTANT death like the guillotine over one of taking some poison after which organs are forced to fail while being still alive. We have no idea about the struggle underneath an objectively peaceful death either.

unless it's the same link as already given in this thread?

@(sorry it wasn´t meant that big - just copy/past work)

Link works for me when I click it. Some man built a guilllotine partially using a tree in a secluded wooden area and used it. I wish I had the determination that man had.

Please note that I condemned those methods "deliberately shocking." Given the wide variety of methods available to us, and in regular use, I think it's fair to say that one person's nightmare is another's ideal peaceful release. What you do to yourself in private is your own business. If the entirety of the intent is to bring you your ideal peaceful death, it's difficult to contest the method's validity. Just don't traumatize others in the process.

But throwing yourself in front of a train or breaking your spine through drop hanging are not traumatizing?
Personally, Id love to go by self made guillotine, if only I had the skills to build it. I wish to die gruesomely. I dont deserve a peaceful suicide.

It's interesting seeing the poll results of this method. I voted yes BUT...I would absolutely want to be sedated or unconscious if this was what it came down to. A guillotine made right would "do the job" quickly, yes. Would this be my preferred method? No.

We made a guillotine (to scale) for history class in high school one year. This was the early 2000s, so they let us bring it in and slice the "head" off of a watermelon.

Tbh the most difficult part was transporting it. Building it was easy, just don't cut your hand off. (Or do... if that's your thing.)

Instead of a guillotine, I am going for a free standing pull up bar to hang myself from. Something about 8 inches tall.

Never thought of such a great idea, quick and painless... I would make sure to leave a large pail or something under my decapitated head so the clean up crew doesn't have to much blood to clean up

I'm not sure what to make of the OP and his head chopping idea. Google shows that at least four other guys in the world have successfully CTB in this manner. And the OP does present it in a serious manner, so I'm not sure if that's supposed to be satire or not.

It's over-the-top, but still not the wildest & craziest suicide that we have ever seen. Still not as wild as a Russian teen who cut his head off with a chainsaw. Also not as unbelievable as suicide by ball point pen, where one guy shoved a pen into an eye socket while another took two pens before hitting his heart and bleeding to death.

I guess none of these head choppers had access to a gun, as $220 for a shotgun seems a whole lot easier than building your own guillotine. And if you're not deterred by how bloody beheading is, then you're obviously not going to have a problem with a shotgun suicide.

I dont have guns in my country instead of muzzleloader but i would not trust them. Gilloutine i think might be the best option.

So i think i know how to make a blade. We ofc need a wooden carier for a blade. I mean this construct 8 ft tall. And a blade. We can make it by buying a machete. Cuting off the hand and asseble it with some wooden handler that gives weight. So now it might be easier.

The blade we can also get from a passionate from survival forums. They have obsession about the knives, so there should be someone who know how to make metal objects.

I never thought that I would see a thread like this.

Time ago I had an idea about this method. I had all the pieces.......... less the blade, even I went to a blacksmith asking him for the building a blade with a steel sheet, but I said him that was for a cabinet.

Great method.

Yes I did, well it was a project thought. Four long side iron rails connected to one another with metal brackets. All joined was made up a kind of rectangular structure. All screwed together.
In the middle of the long side rails were an enough space to running for it a blade.

Finally, I left it, seemed very gore to me.

I've been thinking about this method for quite some time. The lack of tools is a big challenge. However, if a carpenter would be able to provide us with a set of detailed plans, including a cut list and material list, then we could go to a homedepot and get all the wood cut to the correct specifications, and assemble it. The hardest part would probably be the blade itself.

We could crowdsource the ultimate CTB guillotine. Having the option to install a timer would be a nice feature too. You could lock your neck on the guillotine, pass out with alcohol and benzos and set the timer. A kiddie pool could be used to catch all the blood.

Feel free to contact me or discuss this method here. If you are handy and have access to tools we could make this project a reality

Yes, sure, an heroine overdose, but will be by rectal administration, not intravenous. It is brand new, I learned it here.

I saw an advert in the Noose of The World for a guillotine, I think it was a Phillips Multi Chopper. Unfortunately, you're required to assemble it yourself and the manufacturer makes you promise that you will only use the guillotine for the chopping of large fruit and vegetables (which is coincidentally what you will be if the method goes wrong - according to the manual's 'safety instructions').

Noose of The World??? Is it like an actual suicide themed newspaper or what?
