Hi everyone, I'm reaching out to ask for your help because I'm not sure if this method would work best for me. I have this container—or this large box—that I'm showing in the photos, and I'm going to do a CTB using carbon monoxide. My question is this: I read in another thread that it's not necessary to bring the CO concentration to the maximum—it's enough to be exposed for a long enough time. So my question is: if I use this box and seal it tightly at the top, does it matter if the square opening isn't completely sealed, or is the space too small? I tried it once and felt sick—dizzy and all—but I think it was because I ran out of oxygen and was breathing carbon dioxide. So, if I stick my head through the cut-out square as shown and it's sealed on the other sides, do you think I can do it?

Please help me—I'd really appreciate it.

Does the container stay intact or start to melt with the charcoals' heat?

Do you mean to say you will do this outside, kneeling down to that square hole?

(Also, about your question, yeah. >10 thousand ppm is recommended for quickly losing consciousness and is what you want usually. However if the room/tent/car is sealed enough and can contain 1000-2000-3000 ppm for hours, it's also lethal, though possibly more painful meaning you experience nausea, headache and other symtomps for longer amounts of time before getting unconscious.)

I'm not an expert, but if you plan to do this outside, I'm guessing it is risky. Let's imagine my message as a way of bumping the thread! Someone more knowledgeable might see this and help.

Don't use that container. Find something that is made of metal. This will melt for sure, and potentially give off toxic gasses.

If you stick your head through the hole with the coals in there, you'll get quite hot. I don't think this is the way to go.

I put the burning charcoal inside a pot, then I put the pot on top of a brick, and I cover it with more bricks on the sides and top. I try it in a basement; I lie down and just stick my head through. The last time I had to stop because I started feeling dizzy and could barely stand, but I didn't have a headache or anything. Do you think it's because the space is too small?
