Method Help me out people

I posted this morning about wanting to die in my sleep, asking y'all if you could give me a method that would work.
I received 0 replies!
I'm gonna kill myself. No question about it. I know sleeping pills don't do shit, but make you sleep, so that's out.
I thought about jumping from the roof of the hotel I work at, but I doubt 5 stories is high enough to kill me, so that's out.
Now, I'm leaning towards leaping or laying in front of an Amtrak.
But I really wanna die in my sleep.
Is there a method that will work for this?

Hey there! I know it can be frustrating when you're new and people don't reply: don't take it personally, we're all a bit on edge these days because a lot of suspicious new accounts have popped up while the UK government is attacking this community. Maybe try participating some more, listening to people or just playing the silly games in the Offtopic session, people will be more open once you know you're not an Ofcom plant.

As for your question, yes, sleeping pills don't do shit and 5 stories isn't enough. I live in a 5 story building and have considered it half my life, but there's a very high chance of surviving with long-term consequences. We can't tell you specifically "Hey, do this, do that", it's against the rules and the spirit of this website, but there's a very valuable resource pinned on this section of the forums, three letters and the current year. It has considerable information about possible ways of dying in your sleep.

I had to google what an Amtrak is. Seems to be a train. I think it's not a good idea as you'll leave the driver traumatized, plus you might survive with very severe lesions and end up in a worse situation.
Do you have anyone that can help you through this rough patch? Family, friends?.
Researching a suitable method will take time, so I hope you can somehow feel a little bit better in the meantime. We all wish there was a button you could push and just disappear, but it doesn't exist.

The only way I know that someone could die inorganically in their sleep is by carbon monoxide (CO). It kills many sleeping people each year during Winter due to plugged-up chimneys and faulty furnaces. How you could purposefully make that happen is another matter.

I've been single since my ex-wife left me nearly 23 years ago. I'm 50 now. I simply can't deal with being alone anymore. Only my parents love me. But sometimes love's not enough. And I'm just done. The funny thing is... I believe with all of my heart & soul that I'm going to Hell when I die... And I'd just rather be there.

I just want to cease existing peacefully as well, I wish there's the option to just fall asleep permanently and never suffer ever again as all I hope for is non-existence, it's all I personally see as desirable, I hope you find the peace you search for, I wish you the best.
