This was a popular method in the US and Canada until manufacturers started adding 20% air to their helium. The helium now sold in North America is labelled 80% helium 20% air and won't work for this purpose
However, everywhere else in the world, 100% pure helium balloon canisters are widely sold by party supply stores and gas suppliers
