Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I felt betrayed by a solicitor and took reveng by making a formal complaint, visiting another one of his clients whose paperwork he accidentally put in my file, reported to police, regulator and Ombdusman. I also left daming reviews, which were accurate though. I may have done something wrong too and think he or his firm will have reported me to the authorities. I have to wait and see. But the anxiety is killing me too. As is the fear of serious fines.

My question is whether revenge is a good or bad idea. I felt great when I tried to avenge real wrongs. But I may well be in serious trouble now that I wouldnt have been in a had I just suffered without retaliation. What peoples thoughts?

Seeking vengeance can backfire on an individual and lead to additional pain and suffering.

Bullies don't like attacking people who strike back hard. And it often makes them think twice about bullying the next person. Hope you keep us updated

I am a big adept for revenge. Not only it gives you satisfaction and relief, but makes the m-fker think twice about doing shitty things to others next time.
And if it takes two graves, so be it.

If he has truly wronged you, then you did what you had to do. I wish I could get revenge on my perpetrator but the most I can do is just a nasty prank call..

If you think you will win then go for it, otherwise you should just spend your energy to make yourself happier in other way so you may forget the trouble. A lot of people live this way as the norm.
But if you think the loss from the fight even satisfy you, then you're unstoppable, just manage your expectation and the consequences.

Mob ethics are no ethics at all. That said, revenge is certainly an understandable desire.

I don't believe revenge brings peace of mind. I do believe justice for wrong doing but that is very different to revenge, and in my case i prevented my brother from grabbing my late fathers share of his inheritance until a later date through a legal route. He conspired with my mother before and stole 10k from me. The upshot,he couldn't be trusted. Karma takes care of those who have created injustice against others.

It depends, I don't think that revenge is worth it if it just makes things worse and leads to more suffering. But I do think that it's unacceptable how many people in this world just create more harm, wanting revenge can make a lot of sense in such a hellish world as people should be aware of the damage their actions have caused so they don't act in such a way to others. I guess that it just depends on the kind of revenge as well, if it's something illegal then it's a bad idea.
