Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Does anyone else get incredibly anxious/nervous of someone somehow finding you on this site? Or they find your personal info through this site? My worst fear right now is anyone I know personally finding out I'm on here. When I'm dead, I don't care, but whilst I'm alive it's a huge fear.
Maybe it's best not to post personal information on the site then, this is meant to be an anonymous place to discuss suicide. But it's understandable having fears of other people finding out you want to ctb as after all we exist in a society where suicide isn't a valid option and where other people finding out can make existence much worse.

I feel its very important to keep it private. Dont log on if someone may walk in on you, as it will start a whole world of questions. Clear your history if its a communal computer.
I have attempted my life twice, but I feel I would be a lot less educated without some of the information I have been lucky enough to find here. Before I joined this I thought overdose was my best option to CTB, when its actually probably the worst.
I was never worried about this, there's no personal information on here even if let's say LE somehow got their hands on all the account data from here,.. what's here even?
A username that I don't use anywhere else, and an email-address that no one knows either.
Just don't reveal personal information in your posts, age, city, things others might know about you.
Like don't go telling the same things here you told your irl friends, things that could identify your work place, etc.
That's why I don't give information that makes it easy to recognize me. In theory my boy-friend could find out (he has keys for my apartment + the login for my computer), but I trust him to respect my privacy. And if he doesn't it's his problem and not mine, if he reads stuff he would prefer not to know about.
it's best if you don't share any personal information here if it makes you anxious, also if you ever log in from a computer that other people might use remember to log out and delete the internet history, but other than that I think it's unlikely that people will find you
I don't personally care if someone finds my account, everyone in my life knows I'm suicidal
No, not really. This is an international site with a constantly changing range of members coming and going. As long as you avoid disclosing personal details & circumstances I very much doubt that a visitor would identify anyone. So many of us share the same general problems, feelings and life conditions there will always be duplications of our circumstances which assist in preserving anonimity.
Just be very cautious about what you disclose if you ever message privately with any members … not everyone here is liable to be entirely genuine.
Not really, if anyone I knew personally was on this site they could probably recognize me from my pfp alone. I doubt any of them would be here but if they find me here oh well, it's none of their business. I'd only be concerned if they told any of my family members about my posts.
No.
First there's no one in my life
and even so, so? what would it be? 'ooo the mental ill slug is on a suicide website, so shocking!'
it happened already in 2020 anyways, hence i got called the Schizo-Slug.
I only ever browse this site on my personal devices, so I think I'll be fine. But I get why you're feeling that way. If someone find me here, I'd be fucked up beyond repair.
